A native of Germany, Silva Martin lived in Australia for several
years before moving to the United States with her husband, four-star
level event rider Boyd Martin. The couple is based out of Phillip Dutton’s
True Prospect Farm in West Grove, Pennsylvania. Tall, athletic and
elegant on a horse, Silva is a focused and talented competitor. A
licensed Bereiter, she has a solid education in dressage
training and is keen to impart her knowledge to her students and
horses. Always learning, in the United States Silva has trained with Oded
Shimoni,Scott Hassler and Jessica Ransehousen. Silva has a string of talented horses in her barn, with her own Dutch Warmblood gelding Jeff the
Chef getting ready to compete at Grand Prix level. Silva works with
many types of horses and has quickly become a popular instructor with the
eventing crowd. An inspiration to Thoroughbred enthusiasts, Sea Lord
is an off-the-track Thoroughbred gelding that Silva has trained
through the dressage levels. Silva and Sea Lord placed second and
third in fourth level at the prestigious Dressage at Devon horse show in 2009.

Mario DeSlauriers

Congratulations to Mario DeSlauriers and Urico for their first place win in the $50,000 Purina Mills Murphy Grand Prix event (CSI 2*) at the 2010 Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.

Mario and his horse, Vicomte D, participated in the 2009 Kentucky Spring Horse Show at the Kentucky Horse Park, May 7 – 10, where they finished 2nd in the $30,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic and 3rd in the $55,000 COMMONWEALTH GRAND PRIX. Mario rode Tigger for a 5th place finish in the $20,000 BLUEGRASS CLASSIC.

Laura Teodori

Congratulations to Laura Teodori and Kasoar D'uxelles, who placed 3rd in the $60,000 Kentucky Cup Grand Prix on April 25 at the Kentucky Horse Park. This was the show jumping test event for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Laura had no faults and was a mere 1.62 seconds behind the time set by winner Beezie Madden, riding Danny Boy.
Laura and Stedet’s Leroy placed 7th in the Young Rider Grand Prix at the 2010 Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington FL, on Feb 19. Click to see the video.

Laura was selected to compete on the US Developing Young Riders’ Tour in Linz, Austria and Lisbon, Portugal.
